Gossip Girl Spoiler

Any Gossip Girl fans that are yet to watch the finale, I suggest you look away now as I simply cannot contain my excitement any longer!

When realising this was the last series, I couldn’t help but feel completely gutted having watched every single episode from start to finish. There have been fights, break-ups, romances, marriages, deaths and even sex with a minor up until now, and it’s a huge shame to see it all come to an end.

As expected and long anticipated, Gossip Girl’s identity was revealed in the form of none other than Lonely Boy – Dan Humphrey!! Unfortunately for me, the surprise was ruined as I was a couple of days behind on watching it and the news had already broke on my Twitter feed but I couldn’t help but feel a little more love for Dan when he described why he did it. Sick of admiring Serena from afar, a friend told him that you know you’ve made it when people start talking about you. Setting up the Gossip Girl page and posting about himself subtly was the ideal way to get himself noticed.

As well as Gossip Girl himself being identified, the voice behind the famous ‘XOXO Gossip Girl’ made her debut in the show, playing herself in the making of Dan’s movie, was Kristen Bell.

To guarantee that they ended on the ultimate high, what better than for our two favourite couples to tie the knot. Yes, the final episode sees Chuck and Blair finally, after many will-they, won’t-they moments, exchanging rings just before Chuck is arrested for running from the police – if that doesn’t scream dream wedding then I don’t know what does. As always, Blair looked incredible in a pale blue lace, floor-length gown with Chuck wearing a statement white suit with blue trimmings.

In the last five minutes we zoom ahead to five years later and the on-off couple, Serena and Dan, surrounded by our favourite cast members and new addition – HENRY BASS – Blair and Chuck’s little boy *yay*, also get married. Serena looked equally as gorgeous as her best friend in a gold and white gown; neither your typical wedding attire.

If you’re a hard-core GG fan like myself, then it’s enough to bring a tear to your eye. The perfect ending to the perfect show.

Here is a clip of the last five minutes – a sneak peak for those who haven’t already seen it and a little treat for those who have. It’s not like I’ve already watched it four times :-/

Christmas wish list

Selfridges 'No Noise' room

January 2013 sees the opening of Selfridges ‘No Noise’ shopping area. Doing exactly what it says on the tin, the area will be solely for silent shopping, where shoes and mobile phones are to be left at the door for a tranquil shopping experience.
The idea is inspired by founder Harry Gordon Selfridge and will be situated in the store’s Ultralounge, featuring a Quiet Shop for guests to purchase de-branded products as well as an edit of pieces from Spring collections from designers such as Jil Sander and Maison Martin Margiela.
Guests are also encouraged to take part in meditation sessions and make use of the headspace pods that come as part of the experience.
Selfridges creative director Alannah Weston says: the room “invites customers to find a moment of peace in a world where we are bombarded by a cacophony of information and stimulation” – WWD reports.
To take full advantage of this unique experience, head to Selfridges this January!

Matthew Williamson releases short film

What better way to celebrate 15 years in the fashion industry than to make a film about it?
This year saw Matthew Williamsons 15th Anniversary in fashion and to celebrate the occasion, he decided to open up his life in a short film about his work.
"It's about the dreams of my 15-year-old self imagining this ethereal universe full of beautiful girls in these amazing dresses," explains the designer. "I was also really thrilled to work with the amazing Andrea Riseborough too who plays my mum."
For once however, we won’t be looking on the big screen to find stars such as Sienna Miller, Fillol Cordier, Poppy Delevingne and of course, Riseborough, as this short film is in conjunction with Swarovksi and Net-A-Porter, this is the only place you can watch it when its launches next week.
In an interview with Vogue, Williamson passed on his own advice and what the 20th anniversary may bring: "Confidence and belief in yourself and your vision is absolutely paramount. The fashion industry is tough - be prepared to take advice and criticism along the way, but have unwavering belief in your vision.
"This is the next incredibly exciting time for the brand and we hope to take it to the next level. So ideally the big 2-0 will be bigger and better. I'm looking forward to now adding new layers to the DNA of our brand as we begin the next chapter in our story.”

Anne Hathaway weds Adam Shulman

The rumours have been confirmed – Anne Hathaway married Adam Shulman on Sunday evening in a gorgeous, vintage-inspired Valentino gown. Describing her as “like my daughter,” Valentino created a specially-made dress for Anne to wear for her intimate, California wedding last weekend, where around 150 guests attended.
The luxurious wedding started on Friday evening at the Ventana Inn and Spa where the rehearsal dinner took place. The wedding itself was then held on a private estate nearby on Sunday, with just close friends and family attending.
After confirming their engagement last November, Hathaway was soon showing off a diamond ring designed by her husband-to-be, a signifier of what was to come perhaps?
The couple are said to have enlisted the help of many designers, planners and friends to help organise the big day, including Yifat Oren and Stephanie Cove, both of which helped plan Natalie Portman’s wedding earlier this year.
And not forgetting the most important part, the gown. An off-the-shoulder, vintage-inspired dress with a full-length veil and headpiece that couldn’t have suited Anne any better. The lace detailing gave the dress its innocent finish, perfect for Anne’s down-to-earth personality. It was the perfect dress and the cherry on top of the cake for this wedding.
