The Return of the Tomboy

It would be old news to tell you that history is repeating itself in the fashion world, as we all know that fashion cycle never stops spinning, but this time we’re heading back to the early 1900’s for a World War I-esque style. For this, we are looking at none other than London’s own Folk clothing.
Folk are debuting a new womenswear line, recreating their menswear line with an elegant, feminine edge and Liberty were first to snap up the new range. Liberty womenswear buyer Stephanie Jones said: "When a brand has such strength in men's, it doesn't always translate in to the women's market - but Folk have managed to create a sophisticated and feminine line that has its signature fun detailing. We are really excited to be adding Folk to our ladies mix and launching the collection for autumn/winter 2012-13."
Folk decided on the new line due to popular demand after launching women’s footwear in 2004. The collection features items such as cropped tux jackets, patch work shirts and slouchy jeans and is said to be aimed at ‘Hollywood’s ultimate chic tomboy’.
These are a few of my favourite items to be featured in the collection:

Don’t forget to keep an eye out for Folk’s new collection this autumn, after all, we all need to release the inner tomboy from time to time.
