The Search Continues...

So around this time last year I posted about the search for my birthday dress. Well this year, it’s started a little bit earlier as it’s not just any birthday coming up but my 21st and I want the most perfect, stand out dress there is, obviously that isn’t going to cost me a small fortune. The dress HAS to have sequins/glitter and is preferably going to be black or gold. Much to my dismay, Topshop keep bringing in these fantastically cheap yet surprisingly wonderful sequin dresses in all the wrong colours.
First there was the navy, cut out shoulder dress. As lovely as it looked on some size 6/8 people, me being a size 10 looked frumpy which is the last thing you want especially on your birthday!

Next was the silver, cap sleeved dress. The perfect dress had it been made in black, instead the only options were silver or nude, neither of which suited what I was looking for. Unfortunately this dress seems to have disappeared offline so I cannot show you a photo but any keen Topshop-pers will probably know which one I am talking about.

Not long after the release of the almost perfect dress came another, not quite as perfect but the price made it a lot more realistic. Priced at just £58, it was sitting pretty in my price range, but I just couldn’t settle for a silver dress and it wasn’t available in any other colours.

The search continues. If anyone finds a dress that sounds as though it fits my critique then please do send it my way. I am giving it until the end of April to find ‘the one’, maybe then I will lower my standards.
